Terms of Service
Last updated: July 15, 2026
1. Who we are
Time for Impact ("TFI", "we", "us") operates a platform that connects people who offer their time, services, or gifts ("Volunteers") with people who, in exchange, make charitable donations ("Donors"). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. We are a platform, not a party
TFI only facilitates introductions and scheduling. We are not a party to any agreement between Volunteers and Donors, we do not provide the services or gifts offered, and we do not guarantee that any Volunteer or Donor will perform as promised. Any dispute about the quality, delivery, or timing of an offering is between the Volunteer and the Donor.
3. Donations and charitable status
Donations are processed by third parties (Every.org and the receiving charity), not by TFI. TFI is not a charity, is not a tax advisor, and does not issue donation receipts. Whether a donation is tax-deductible depends on the charity and your personal circumstances. Because a donation is made in connection with receiving time, services, or a gift, deductibility may be limited or unavailable. Consult your own tax advisor. Donations are generally non-refundable once processed.
Volunteers may set a minimum donation for an offering. If your donation is less than that minimum, the associated booking will not be confirmed — but the donation still goes to the charity and remains non-refundable. Check the minimum before donating.
4. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use TFI. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use TFI to:
- post false, misleading, fraudulent, or illegal offerings or content;
- harass, threaten, defame, or harm other users;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- circumvent the donation flow or misrepresent charitable giving;
- upload malware or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the platform.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.
6. User content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as your bio, offering descriptions, and images). You grant TFI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display that content for the purpose of operating the platform. You represent that you have the rights to the content you submit.
7. Third-party services
TFI integrates with third parties including Every.org (donations) and Cal.com (scheduling). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
8. Disclaimers
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TFI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from interactions between Volunteers and Donors, donations, or in-person meetings. Our total liability for any claim relating to the platform will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold TFI harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
11. Termination
You may stop using TFI at any time and may request deletion of your account by contacting us at the address below. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the platform or other users.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the platform that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of the place where you live.
14. General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and TFI regarding the platform. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
